After completing 2 successful island-vise football tournaments, the NGO is set to organize an all new football tournament in Hinnavaru during this up coming Ramadan. According to "sos boyz", this tournament will bring a joyful and a competitive atmosphere to the whole island while it's going to be an 11 a side tournament.
Previous Tournaments from Sos Boyz
They organized their first tournament during the Ramadan of 2011, with a sudden announcement to the island that they'll be hosting a 7 a side tournament on Hinnavaru Turf. As so many teams took part in the tournament, they decided to play the tournament as a knock-out format.
As they have got so many support from the players and both management of the team, they decided to host their 2nd tournament during the Ramadan of 2012. It was well organized than their first tournament, as they announce the tournament early and let the players and managements know it soon. The support to the tournament from the public was a true example that they appreciate "sos boyz" hard work.
Ramazan Cup 2013
Yet again a tournament from "sos boyz", to youth of the tournament, to enjoy and to show their football talent and all. The tournament format is completely different than any other tournament organized by them. Their and our hope is to be the tournament as successful as previous tournaments. They urge all players and management to show discipline and support to the Organizing Team of the tournament.
Group Stage Draw
Seven Teams participated in the tournament, including reigning champion Riverside.
First match of the tournament is scheduled to play at 17th July, Wednesday at 16:30. All Match Fixtures and Details will be posted on the blog on their respective Match days.
